Friday 27th January, 2017
About: As part of our ongoing commitment to increasing Chinese uptake within schools, the UCL Institute of Education Confucius Institute for Schools holds an annual one-day event which aims to bring together schools and universities from around the UK who offer Chinese language and/or cultural studies for students, to be able to learn more about each other, from both the school and university perspective.
During this day we will provide time in the morning for a number of schools and universities to give brief presentations, to illustrate what is currently happening in both areas. In the afternoon we will provide a space for teachers and students to talk with universities that offer Chinese on their programme.
We very much hope that you are able to join us on this day, in a unique event for Chinese learning in the UK.
Suitable for: This course is suitable for those teachers who teach at secondary and higher levels. The morning sessions focus on dialogue between schools and universities so are not suitable for students to attend. However, for the afternoon sessions we welcome any student thinking about going on to do Chinese at university.
