In September 2014, the IOE Confucius Insitute launched the Young Photographers’ Competition, to coincide with National Confucius Institute Day. The competition is now in its fourth year and has seen some excellent photography from students across the world. The aim of the competition is to dispell the cultural stereotypes of China through photography and show the vast country through the eyes of young people. Each year we include a home-based category which explores China’s relationship with the United Kingdom.
The Young Photographers Competition for 2018 will open late this year. If you would like to be notified of when the competition opens, please email Nicola Larkin – firstname.lastname@example.org.
The photography competition is open to anyone aged 18 years and under; entries will be exhibited in the main IOE building, with winning entries being given the opportunity to exhibit at another exciting venue in London (more details to follow). Prizes for winners and runners-up include up to £200 worth of Amazon vouchers.
